Each year, the Stanford Club of Singapore offers a Book Prize competition for Singapore’s JC students. This will be the ninth consecutive year in which the Book Prize competition is being been held. The Stanford Alumni here in Singapore believe that this competition is an excellent way to raise students’ level of awareness about the opportunities in the US for university education, and especially about Stanford University, which has become one of the most popular schools in America for Singaporeans.

Our competition focuses on students’ skills in writing, speaking, and communicating. It is designed to identify and recognize an outstanding young individual who demonstrates uncommon talent and potential for success in an American university environment.

The contest is open to all students who are enrolled in JC-1 during 2004 and are promoted to JC-2 beginning in January 2005. Each finalist receives a book prize from the Stanford undergraduate reading list, and the winner receives a roundtrip ticket to San Francisco for a week-long stay on campus at Stanford University. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will lead the development and deployment of the regional campaign marketing plans/activities and deliverables to support the Home Entertainment Networks (HEN) business in the region. This evolves around interfacing with global campaign leaders, external agencies and alliances partners on HEN plans and deliverables to collaborating with regional functional managers to develop toolkits, templates and guidelines for HEN campaign activities. Working closely with the regional HEN business group, you are to ensure synergy and integration of campaign plans/activities with product plans and MIP. Last but not the least you will guide the National Sales Organisation marketing managers in implementing and adapting the regional campaigns and activities to ensure quality and consistency as well as gathering inputs and feedback to incorporate in the development of regional deliverables.

Requirements

• Mainland Chinese with consumer marketing experience.
• Plan for incumbent to work in Singapore for a few years before sending him/ her back to China to strengthen the organization.
• Master’s/ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
• Minimum 5 relevant experience in Asia Pacific regional experience in Product Management, Marketing, Sales and New Business Development
• Independent and possess excellent interpersonal skills and an out-going personality
• Excellent presentation skills
• Fluent in both English and Chinese Language
• Leadership experience in influencing an international sales team.
