The Stanford Club of Singapore will be joining the MIT Club of Singapore to this annual bowling event, a friendly competition amongst the various alumni clubs of DUAL to promote networking opportunity in a cozy environment.

Venue: Superbowl Marina Square (6 Raffles Boulevard #03-200 Marina Square)
Date & Time: Sat, September 30th 2006, 3pm to 6pm.
Format: Teams will consist of between 5 to 6 bowlers. Each bowler will bowl 2 games. Only the top 5 scores from each team will be recognised.

This event is also open to non-bowlers and encouraged to come along too.

Good networking opportunity or just catch up with old and lost friends. Light food and soft drinks will be served during the event.

Charges:

For bowlers :- $25 nett
For supporters/non-bowlers :- $5 nett.

The Chicago Graduate School of Business Global Leadership Series presents Breakfast with Raghuram G. Rajan. Mr. Rajan is Chief Economist, International Monetary Fund, and Eric J. Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Finance, Chicago GSB.

This question has fuelled passionate debates amongst economists, policymakers, and in civil society. It has gained importance in recent years because of the curious, even seemingly perverse, pattern of global imbalances, whereby capital seems to be flowing “uphill” from poorer to richer countries. But this question has economic relevance beyond the current conjuncture because it goes to the heart of the process of development and the role that foreign capital plays in it. It also has enduring policy relevance as developing countries try to decide whether to participate in the process of financial globalization and, if so, in what form and to what degree. Rajan’s talk will shed some new light on these issues based on recent research.
