A message from alumnus Joseph Pigato:
Dear fellow alum,
It’s time to combine the sheer brain power of our Stanford alumni base to see if we have the collective ability to identify useless bits of trivia. Indeed, there’s a fun trivia night running every Tuesday at Bisous Bar at 8:30PM and I thought it would be fun to gather some friendly Stanford folks, relax, enjoy a few drinks, and try our hand at random trivia.
It’s a pretty traditional set up with 10 questions in 5-6 categories (such as politics, popular music, geography, recent news, entertainment, etc.). The music category usually involves identifying song clips played over the bar’s sound system (music from the 50’s to today). There’s also a picture round where you identify famous (or semi-famous) people projected onto the bar’s large screens (recent photos included Shakira, Susan B. Anthony, Roger Federer, Andrew Fastow, Don Cheadle, John McCain, etc. so it’s all over the place). It’s all good fun, and lasts about 2-1/2 hours. Questions become harder toward the end depending on your beer count by night’s end.
It’s a casual event, but please RSVP to Joseph Pigato at josephpigato@gmail.com. If we get a large group, we might split into a couple teams and I can try to reserve some couches. There’s plenty of time to mingle with everyone so don’t worry about splitting into groups. There’s no payment requirement for the event, just order drinks or food as you wish and pay for what you order.
I hope you can make it. It’s a fun evening and a good chance to meet each other during a fun and relaxing evening.
