Hi everyone.
The mighty Stanford team pulled out a victory at last week’s trivia night, much to the chagrin of the many veteran teams that night. It was a one point victory, we did it with just a handful of Stanford folks and a couple friends, and we earned a $100 drink voucher. It was a fun, relaxing night out and our next trivia night looks even better with quite a few people who are in town this time and ready to join us.
Some folks have asked what the event is like. It’s very relaxed and social (with one-for-one Heinekens or Coronas all night). There are six trivia rounds/categories, including identifying photos of famous people (from Jessica Alba to the president of Albania), a wine and cocktail tasting (we have to identify the drinks), a music round (all genres), a name that food round (we need some help here!), a movie round, a sports round (we’re much better with football and baseball than rugby and cricket) and a general knowledge round.
Next up is Tuesday, July 10th (again, we’re planning for the second Tuesday of each month).
