Start off the New Year right by getting together with your fellow Stanford alumni at a unique event!

Join us at Brewerkz for an evening of beer tasting and socializing with members and friends of the Stanford Club. Yes, that’s right – not your usual wine tasting evening, but a beer tasting evening instead. Brewerkz will allow us to taste 6 of their special micro-brews for 2 hours. This is a great event to start off the New Year, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Brewerkz will provide:

• 6 Draft Selection Beers served in beer towers – A wide range of beers from pale, golden ale with light and subtle malts to dark but refreshing pilsner with toffee.
• Fingerfood Platters (Calamari, Grilled Wings, Chips & Salsa, Potato Skins)

Before January 15, 2008 the cost is $35 for Stanford Alumni and $45 for Guests. From January 15 – January 23, the cost is $50 for Stanford Alumni, and $60 for Guests. All payment must be made before the event by credit card or check.

Stanford Club announces rules for its 12th annual Book Prize competition. Application forms were e-mailed this week to all 17 of Singapore’s JCs. Full application may be downloaded from here.

The upcoming Stanford Club trivia night is Tuesday, Dec. 11th, at Bisous Bar. We got a last minute trivia team together for the American Association’s trivia night last week and came in first place out of 20 teams!
